Do we need to reserve a UCCR site for our program in advance?
— YES. 6-12 months usually guarantees the dates and facility of your choice.
Is it easy to make a reservation?
— DEFINITELY! Please call our reservations team toll-free at 1-800-678-5102, Monday - Thursday, 7AM-5PM, Friday 8:30AM-5PM Pacific Time. If it is more convenient for you to call at a different time, leave a message and we’ll get back to you the next business day. You can also email our staff at reservations@uccr.org.
Do you have a special rate for nonprofit organizations?
— ABSOLUTELY! Since we serve only nonprofit groups, we are committed to fees that are significantly less than comparable private facilities.
Does UCCR require a deposit?
— YES. The deposit is 50% of the minimum number of people (Guaranteed Minimum Fee or GMF) that a particular site can serve. The balance is due 14 days before your event. Special requests for deposit/payment accommodations may be directed to our reservations staff.
What is the Guaranteed Minimum Fee (GMF)?
— The Guaranteed Minimum Fee (GMF) is based on the minimum number of people required to book the site multiplied by the cost per person. The GMF does not include State tax on meal service, where applicable.
Is there flexibility regarding the check-in and check-out times?
— OF COURSE. We will work with you to determine the best scheduling for your group and we’ll confirm the details in advance. Arrival and departure may be dependent on other arriving/departing group’s schedules.
What determines a child rate?
— Children 6-11 years of age stay at reduced rates when attending an event with a parent (i.e. Family Camp). Children 5 and under stay for free when attending with a parent.
Do you have single occupancy accommodations?
— Most of our sites have multiple occupancy accommodations. Some rooms are doubles and could accommodate single guests, depending on the site.
Can we plan our own menu and can you accommodate special dietary needs?
— YES TO BOTH QUESTIONS! You will be able to select items from our sample menus and request optional items at an additional charge. We can accommodate allergies, Diabetics, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, etc. if we know in advance. We encourage the person with the dietary request to speak directly with our staff.
Are snacks and beverage service available?
— YES! Snack and beverage service may be purchased at an additional cost at the sites.
Will staff be available during our stay?
— YES. During the day, staff members are on site. to assist you if needed and available by phone after hours.
What else is there to do at the site?
— All of our sites have numerous possibilities for group activity and fun. Hiking, swimming, horseshoes, volleyball and campfires are just some of the many choices your group will have. Please feel free to call the site director in advance if you would like suggestions or help creating your program.
Do you allow dogs?
— In general, pets are not allowed at our sites. In special circumstances, Service Dogs, Canine Companions and Assistance Dogs are welcome at our sites.
