Founded in 1970, UCCR's mission is to build relationships with property owners and guests to develop and deliver exceptional services and business resources that empower camps, conference and retreat centers to flourish. Our approach is two-fold: to fully support your program while you and your group are enjoying one of our facilities, and to provide excellence in the stewardship of the properties with which we have been entrusted. UCCR’s expertise in managing and operating camp and retreat property gives the owner organizations confidence that their facility has a steward who cares about their mission, as well as the missions of the groups we serve.

Camp, Conference & Retreat Hospitality

UCCR’s primary focus is to provide a setting and the hospitality that best fit the program needs of the groups we serve. We offer an intriguing selection of camp, conference and retreat centers throughout the United States, and at each site our goal is to meet and exceed your group's expectations. You’ll find us amid California's coastal redwood forests, beside a Midwestern lake or stream, and on the bluffs of Cape Cod. Because of the diversity of UCCR sites we can meet a broad range of group needs and preferences, and our friendly reservations staff is always ready to help you find the best site for your group. We take pride in offering safe, well-equipped sites and accommodations, outstanding food, and thoughtful services at moderate costs.

property Management

United Camps, Conferences & Retreats is a nonprofit cooperative. The owners of the facilities we manage are also nonprofit organizations and participate in UCCR on our Owner’s Council under a central administrative unit and through a unified budget. As a cooperative, we have greater strength and effectiveness than independently operated facilities. UCCR provides an efficient operational structure resulting in considerable financial savings and a higher quality of service for our members and the groups we serve. We welcome site owners who would like to explore becoming a member of United Camps, Conferences & Retreats.

educational Programs

In addition to our site offerings, we have developed a strong and expanding program capability, highlighted by our educational component Web of Life Field (WOLF) School, which offers programs to K-12th grade students and their teachers. WOLF School offers 2-5 day residential outdoor science, living history and team building programs at several sites in California, as well as in-class presentations and naturalists for hire. Operating since 1989 with the mission of "Building respect, appreciation, and stewardship within the web of life," WOLF School excels at working with schools and organizations to connect youth with nature, empower individuals, and strengthen communities, creating life-long learners and global stewards of the environment.
