UCCR Begins a New Chapter with CEO Katie Evenbeck
Known for her collaborative leadership style and operational expertise, Katie has built a career overseeing complex nonprofit organizations focused on hospitality, environmental stewardship, financial sustainability, risk management, and inclusive community engagement.

Her experience spans executive leadership, human resources, facilities management, strategic planning, donor development, governance, and large-scale program operations.
Prior to joining UCCR, Katie served as Executive Director of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Santa Rosa, California, where she led administration, finance, HR, and facilities operations for a vibrant congregation.
Before that, she spent 17 years as Executive Director of St. Dorothy’s Episcopal Camp & Retreat Center in Occidental, California, overseeing all aspects of camp and retreat operations.

Katie has led major property expansion initiatives, achieving ACA accreditation, increasing donor engagement, and supporting thousands of campers and retreat guests annually.
Katie’s earlier leadership roles include YMCA camp management, programming, volunteer mobilization through AmeriCorps partnerships, and community services leadership.

She holds a Master of Divinity from Church Divinity School of the Pacific, a Master of Science in Sociology from Utah State University, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Franklin College.
Served on the national Board of Directors of Episcopal Camps and Conference Centers, (ECCC) Inc.
Served on the national board of the Religiously Affiliated Camps Council (RAC) of the American Camp Association (ACA).
Recipient of the Community Service Award from ACA
Recipient of the Community Service Award from ACA and the Presidential Service Lifetime Achievement Award for overseeing disaster relief accommodations and coordination immediately following the Tubbs Fire.
