Swallowtails at Monte Toyon Camp
/The Swallowtail butterfly must have heard that the Web of Life Field (WOLF) School is coming to Monte Toyon in July. As they flurry around camp it’s like they are helping us beautify and get ready for guests. Fellers camp is a great place in Aptos, CA to enjoy the wonders of the forest.
The DIY Family Camps are for families who want to get away together and enjoy nature activities and hiking led by an experienced Naturalist. Each family will have a separate campsite, (see photos) that is physically distanced from others.
As for the Swallowtail butterflies, they get their name from the little "tails" on the back edge of their wings and are some of the largest butterflies in the world. There are so many of them flying around we just can’t wait for campers to come and see them.
