At Applegate Jesuit Retreat Center of the Sierra, our staff is typically so busy hosting guests there isn’t enough time to explore the beautiful property. This week, Joel, our resident Site Director, had some time to explore parts of the less traveled corners of the beautiful property, and he had this to say.

“It’s been a long time since I truly wandered about in nature. I took this photo and felt what I imagine many of our guests experience when they visit us here, relaxed. I also felt a sense of calm, peaceful connection.”

Though we cannot wait to get back to hosting our valuable groups, it is nice to take a moment to reflect on the nature based experience communally.
