Monte Toyon Houses Evacuees.
/With over 500 fires in the state of California, it’s no surprise that all Californians are affected in one way or another. At Monte Toyon Camp in Aptos, on the coast near Santa Cruz, the community is coming together to support those who have been evacuated by the Complex Fire in Bounder Creek area.
Local restaurants have donated food and beverages and we are fortunate enough to be able to house these families who have been through so much. We put out the donated food last night and took a few photos to share.
We will be working with more restaurants this week and feeding these folks for as long as we can. We also had lots of goods donated and were able to pick them up last week at the donation station in Santa Cruz.
We are feeling very grateful for this community and it truly is during these times that we see how giving and kind people are.
