Camp Lodestar is rich in varied ecological environments and steeped in history of the Motherlode county. Towering yellow pine trees, sugar pines, cedars, and other conifers make a great setting for many recreational opportunities. Mountain Misery and a variety of wild flowers carpet the landscape making for a beautiful view come springtime.

One of the many hiking trails crosses the meadow and passes a lava cap adorned with manzanita and chaparrals bush which defends to the Mokelomne River through a dense forest of fir trees and ferns.   • Swimming Pool
    A non-heated seasonal pool which is a large rectangular shape with a diving board. There are both mens and women’s changing rooms and restroom facilities. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day.

    Sports activities available for guests. A large meadow provides a beautiful setting for outdoor games.

    Available for youth to enjoy.

  • Walking Trails
    Miles upon miles of walking trails over the 425 acres to enjoy with the Middle Fork of the Mokelumne River flowing right through camp.

  • High Ropes Challenge Courses and a Zip Line

  • Indian Grinding Rock State Historical Park
    A nearby park with fishing, historic gold rush attractions and unique parks.

  • Kirkwood Meadows
    A downhill skiing area just 1.5 hours drive.
