1. Do we need to reserve a Crystal site for our program in advance?
a. YES.  6-12 months usually guarantees the dates and facility of your choice. Call us even if closer to the date and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. 
2. Is it easy to make a reservation ? 
a. DEFINITELY!  Please call our office and ask for Beverly 517-372-3220, Tuesday through Thursday, 10AM - 4PM.  If it is more convenient for you to call at a different time, leave a message and we’ll get back to within two business days. 3. Do you have a special rate for nonprofit organizations? 
a. ABSOLUTELY!  Since we serve only nonprofit groups, we are committed to fees that are significantly less than comparable private facilities.
4. Does Crystal Conference Center require a deposit? 
a. YES. The deposit is 25% of the Guaranteed Minimum Fee (GMF) when agreement on a date, size of group and facilities is determined.  The balance is due one month prior to date of use.

6. Is there flexibility regarding the check-in and check-out times? 
a. OF COURSE.  We will work with you to determine the best scheduling for your group and we’ll confirm the details in advance. Arrival and departure may be dependent on other arriving/departing group’s schedules. Normal departure time is 10am with arrival between 3-4 pm. 
7. What determines a child rate? 
a. Children 3 and under stay for free when attending with a parent.
8. Do you have single occupancy accommodations? 
a. Most of our sites have multiple occupancy accommodations. Some rooms are doubles and could accommodate single guests, depending on the site.
9. Can we plan our own menu and can you accommodate special dietary needs? 
a. YES, we do accommodate special dietary needs if we know in advance. Full food service availability and menu options are dependent upon other booked uses of Crystal. But do ask us and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. 
10. Will staff be available during our stay? 
a. Staff will be available through August 10. After that date, facilities will be available with a camp manager as your host for you to use facilities on your own. 
11. What else is there to do at the site? 
a. All of our sites have numerous possibilities for group activity and fun. Hiking, swimming, tennis courts, horseshoes, volleyball and campfires are just some of the many choices your group will have. Also a climbing wall and adventure course, facilitated by certified staff. (Requires prior arrangement and extra fee).
12. What waterfront options are available to us?
a. Watercraft may be moored in front of Mission House – no docking allowed. Personally owned kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards may be launched. Other watercraft can launch from nearby public access site. Lifeguard services are subject to availability for an extra fee. 
13. What other activities are there in the area?
a. In addition to nearby Lake Michigan beaches, sunsets, and salmon fishing, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (hiking, camping, scenic drives), premier fishing lakes and streams, and river float trip options, the area offers many opportunities for water sports, cycling, touring and shopping. Equipment rental is available from Crystal Lake Adventure Sports and others. 
14. What options are available for bedding being provided and/or laundry facilities being available?
a. Bed sheets and towels linen service is provided ONLY for Mission House reservations. Washer/dryer facilities are not available on property. Full service laundromats are available in Frankfort and Beulah. 
15. What Medical Assistance is available? 
a. First Aid kits are found in several areas on site. Hospital/Urgent care is available in Frankfort (4 miles) at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. 
16. Do you allow dogs? 
a. In general, pets are not allowed at our sites. 
17. What are the rules on smoking/vaping/alcohol? 
a. Not allowed.
18. What about campfires and fireworks?
a. YES to campfires at designated pits. NO to fireworks. 
19. May we tour a facility and meet your staff? 
a. PLEASE DO. Just call us to set up an appointment.
