Welcome
to UCCR!
United Camps, Conferences and Retreats (UCCR), was created over 30 years
ago so that nonprofit organizations could enjoy beautiful sites for
their camping and retreat experiences. UCCR’s primary focus is to
provide a setting and the hospitality that best fit the program needs of
those groups we serve. Our mission is “Creating partnerships to provide
positive life-changing experiences”. We fulfill our mission by fully
supporting your program while you are enjoying one of our facilities.
We offer an intriguing selection of northern California camps and
conference centers, as well as two adult retreat centers in the Bay
Area. You'll find us amid the coastal redwood forests, beside a lake or
stream, at the majestic reaches of the high Sierra, and in the Valley of
the Moon. Because of the diversity of UCCR sites, we can meet a broad
range of group needs and preferences. Our friendly reservations staff
will help you find the site that best fits your needs. We take pride in
offering safe, well-equipped sites and accommodations, outstanding food,
and thoughtful services at moderate costs.

In addition to our site offerings, we have developed a strong and
expanding program capability, highlighted by our Web of Life Field
(WOLF) School, which offers programs to K through 8th graders and their
teachers. The WOLF School offers 2-5 day residential outdoor science,
history and group building programs at several sites in northern
California, as well as in-class presentations and naturalists for hire.
The WOLF School’s goal is to foster an appreciation of the natural world
through hands-on learning activities in the outdoors. Whether studying
banana slugs with our skilled and friendly naturalists, practicing
public speaking in town hall meeting activities, or singing by the
campfire, your school children will return from our program excited to
learn more about the web of life.
United Camps, Conferences and Retreats is a nonprofit management
company that is open for membership. The owners of our sites are also
nonprofit organizations and participate in UCCR on our Board of
Directors as members of UCCR. There are no fees for membership. Camps,
conference centers and retreats are operated cooperatively under a
central administrative unit and through a unified budget. As a
cooperative, we have greater strength and effectiveness than
independently operated facilities. UCCR provides an efficient
operational structure resulting in considerable financial savings and a
higher quality of service for our members and the groups we serve. We
welcome site owners who would like to explore becoming a member of
United Camps, Conferences and Retreats.
Please enjoy our web site, and feel free to call us at (800) 678-5102
if you have any questions.
Rules for acceptance and participation in programs at UCCR are the
same for everyone without regard to age, race, color, religion, gender,
sexual orientation, handicap, or national origin.
