Driving Directions
From the Sacramento or Bay Area:
Take Interstate 80 east into Truckee. Go NORTH on Highway 89 towards Graeagle-Portola-Quincy. At the intersection with Highway 70 (end of highway 89) go northwest on Highway 70 towards Quincy.
Go a few miles into the hamlet of Cromberg and look for the Cromberg Volunteer Fire Department on the left (west) side of the road. The small road to the camp is directly across the street from the fire station (right turn from Highway 70). There may or may not be a sign saying “Little Long Valley Road”
Go up the dirt/gravel road through a residential section. Stay on the most traveled part up the center of the canyon, look for the wooden circles that say “C of Christ” nailed to a few of the trees.
In less than a mile you will see a large house on the left with a prominent green metal roof, just past that house on the left will be the (locked) gate to camp and the small wooden bridge that crosses the creek just beyond the gate. Do not worry about the looks of the bridge, it is very strong.
If coming from the Quincy area:
Turn left onto Little Long Valley Creek Road at the fire station.
If coming from the Reno-Sparks area:
Take Highway 395 NORTH from Reno approximately 20 miles to Hallelujah Junction where you turn on Highway 70. Go WEST on Highway 70 past Portola and past the intersection with highway 89. A few miles past the intersection with Highway 89 you will see the Cromberg fire house on the left and the road to camp on the right.
