Camp Sierra

A camp and retreat center in Big Creek, Fresno County, California for nonprofit groups of 15-300. MAP AND DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Camp Sierra is located at an elevation of 4800’ between Shaver Lake and Huntington Lake in a mixed pine, fir, and oak forest. The camp has a rich history that began with Native Americans making their village at the current camp site. Grinding stones and obsidian chips can still be found in this area.

Accommodating up to 250 guests in a variety of lodging, Camp Sierra offers groups a multi-use facility including large grassy areas, chapel, outdoor amphitheater, hiking, swimming, basketball, horseshoes, volleyball, a large outdoor dining/BBQ area, dining hall, large meeting hall, and a camp store.

	Circle Lodge - sleeps 40 downstairs, 32 upstairs.
	Meadow Lodge - sleeps 40 on main floor, 16 downstairs
	Sunset Lodge - sleeps 34
	Leaning Cedar Lodge (fireplace) - sleeps 16 on main floor, 15 upstairs.
	Fir and Oak Duplex - each side sleeps 9
	Pine and Alder Duplex - Pine sleeps 9, Alder sleeps 4

Abednego Duplex - Each side sleeps 6. Wheelchair accessible.

Shadrack Duplex - Each side sleeps 8.

Meshack - sleeps 8.

Dining

	Dining Hall The Dining Hall accommodates up to 200 people at large tables that seat 6-10 people each. Buffet style salad bar as well as a self service beverage area is available. Meals may be served family or cafeteria style. Meal Service - homemade meals available for all groups, served in the dining hall by our friendly staff (outdoor barbecues available).

Program Space

	Assembly Hall The room measures 40’x60’ not including the stage area. There is bench seating to accommodate up to 200 people.
	Chapel The Chapel is a charming, plain space with pew seating for up to 65 people.
	Amphitheater This outdoor gathering space offers bench seating up to 250 guests. There is a stage with podium.
	Central Camp In the center of camp is a grassy area with pine trees that offers plenty of outdoor seating, horseshoes, and playground.
	Campfire Area A campfire area is available at the bottom edge of a grassy knoll. Lawn seating.
	WI-FI capabilities in camp office and central camp.

Recreation

	Large swimming hole (seasonal) and deck.
	Volleyball and basketball courts, baseball, ping-pong, horseshoes.
	Large playfield.
	Hiking! Beautiful "pothole trail" leads to spectacular granite pools for swimming and exploring. For Winter Recreation Sierra Summit Ski Resort is nearby. Check out their website at SierraSummit.com

Camp Sierra is owned by the Camp Sierra Association and is one of several camps and conference centers operated by the cooperative efforts of United Camps, Conferences and Retreats, serving over 800 nonprofit groups each year.
